About the Team: 

The PTP (Premium to Premium) vertical in Ninjacart is focused on importing premium brand fruits from different countries and supplying them to modern trades, quick commerce, and standalone supermarkets across India. This is achieved by partnering with distributors in various cities, enabling them to supply to all the mentioned channels. While this value proposition is solid and proven, it requires tweaking depending on the size of the town or the geography in which we operate.

As a Growth Manager, you will be responsible for bringing in more reliable channel partners to increase volumes while ensuring that the brand value is established among all channels and consumers. If solving problems such as understanding the market, creating the right assortment mix to target maximum customers, adapting the mix according to seasonality, engaging customers with virtual marketing, and overall enhancing our customers’ profitability excites you, then this is the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities: 

  • Own all plans and strategies for developing business across all organized retail channels, which include national and regional supermarket chains, quick commerce channels, and work closely with the importers, wholesalers & traders in mandi

  • Manage distributor relationships, ensuring non-performing distributors are replaced with higher potential distributors to ensure growth for both entities.

  • Ensure customer delight by resolving service issues and ensuring retention and higher loyalty of distributors.

  • Plan and execute strategies for penetrating convenience stores and other premium sectors where premium fruits are currently not being sold.

  • Lead and expand the business by building processes and funnels for manual top-down outreach, onboarding, activation, and expansion.

  • Strategize effectively and personally assist in closing the largest deals by closing working with all the stakeholders in fruit mandi

  • Experience in the Fruits and Vegetables (FNV) category or startups is an added advantage in North India Markets

  • Sound understanding of the customer segment, their behavior, products in the category, category pricing, B2B sales, and vendor management.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.

  • Strength in problem-solving, issue resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
