About the Team
The team consists of two verticals E.commerce and HoReCa. Both the verticals focus on catering fresh produce demands of the B2C e-commerce players (example: Flipkart, Zepto, Instamart, etc,…), and organized Hotels, Caterers, Restaurant chains in Metro/T1 cities.This team consists of following departments:
Key Accounts Management team (KAM)
Category team
Procurement team
Quality and Liquidation team
Operations team
Central Ops and control center
While each team is exclusive for E.commerce and HoReca vertical, the procurement team is the common function responsible for fulfillment of both e.commerce and HoReCa’s demand. The Ecommerce team is trying to solve procurement challenges in the B2C space through a joint venture with Flipkart. In this venture Ninjacart & Flipkart together will cater the consumer
demand for F/V in all T1 cities in India. Wherein Ninjacart will be the fulfillment partner and Flipkart will take care of demand generation and Last Mile operations. This team is a mix of Procurement, Operations, and Analytics working together to fulfill the consumers demand.
The Horeca team is a large and diverse team which is trying to solve the problems in the Food industry ecosystem with a credit based approach. This growth engine will fuel the next phase of Ninjacart’s journey in cementing its place in the industry as an innovation and execution leader. This is a team which is a mix of Business, Execution, Category, Product, Analytics and brings a mix of speed and innovation to solve tough problem statements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Own the end to end operations of Collection Center/ Fulfillment Center operations ,First Mile Logistics and last mile logistics which include infrastructure, people, and processes
Driver key operational and customer service metrics consistently
Manage cost, quality, and efficiency to achieve operations SLAs
Ensure the system and ops level guidelines strictly adhere to the respective facilities
Take decisions on matters relating to the day to day operations within the assigned Business unit including the strategic planning of resources
Influence any changes necessary to meet statutory requirements, ensuring minimum risk to staff members and the business
Set targets and proactively manage & review the performance of DC Teams. Manage relationships with key vendors pertaining to operations

MBA/PGDM from a Tier I Tier II college
People Management: Ability to handle a layered team of more than 20 in an effective way and specify tasks and effective utilization of the available resource
Data-Driven: Innate sense towards data & strong grip over operations metrics. Experience in process improvement and lean techniques
Process Adherence: Ability to bring rigor to the process and SOPs to ensure we build consistency and reliability on a day to day basis and scalability in long-term
Personality: High Energy, go-getter, and proactive personality. Should be a self- starter and should be able to work independently, take end-to-end responsibility and accountability for results
