Ninjacart is India's Largest Agri marketing platform, solving one of the toughest supply chain problems through technology. We connect vegetables and fruits farmers directly with businesses. At one end, we help farmers get better prices and deal with consistent demand and on another end, we help retailers to source fresh vegetables at competitive prices directly from farmers. We do this effectively at lower cost, better speed and larger scale using integrated supply chain powered by technology, data science, infrastructure, and logistics network. 

We move 300 Tonnes of vegetables from farm to 4000+ retailers on daily basis within 12 hours in Bangalore, Mysore, Chennai & Hyderabad. We are 1000 people company. We work with 3000+ farmers. We aim to grow to 750 tonnes of daily volume by the end of March.

Category @ Ninjacart
As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for the profitability of that category. Each city will have two category managers who in-turn will control the profitability of the city. You will work with cross-functional teams for ensuring quality, Penetration, returns, Demand prediction, returns, recovery & analyzing market trends of all SKUs in your portfolio. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive SKU penetration and sale volume among customers through innovative marketing campaigns and programs by leveraging data science

  • Manage Market Intelligence team to do correct price benchmarking.

  • Manage quality team to do correct quality benchmarking & reduce returns. 

  • Manage the recovery team to recover all the unsold & return items in the right price.

  • Own end to end PnL for your portfolio products

  • Explore new farming clusters for strategic sourcing

  • Program manage sale events during festivals

  • Strong evangelist of the ninjacart value proposition for farmers

 Required Skill-sets / Education

  • 1 to 4 years of experience after graduation

  • Telugu linguistic proficiency is preferable

  • Relevant experience is not mandatory. Learnability is important.

  • Self-starter, 100% ownership and unshakeable enthusiasm

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Should have good analytical & logical skills

  • Should possess strong willingness to get hands dirty (literally), get stuff done and strong work ethics

  • Has relentless focus, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to multitask while working in a highly charged environment.
